Datum Transformations

If the datum for a dataset is different from that required for the output map, MapLink will need to carry out a datum transformation. An appropriate datum transformation will be selected for you automatically, although you can override MapLink's chosen method if you wish.

To apply your own choice of datum transformation:

• Select Dataset | Datum Transform

  

• De-select the 'Always use the default Datum Transform' box
• Browse through the datum transforms and make your selection

Occasionally, MapLink will not be able to find an appropriate datum transformation method. In this case a message box will appear informing you that no datum transform will be applied.
