Introduction

The MapLink Pro Geometry Model, based on OpenGIS, is the underlying geometrical model used in MapLink Pro. The geometrical model is composed of a collection of objects known as entities.

Entity is the root class of the Geometry Model and can be defined as zero, one and two-dimensional geometric objects that exist in a two-dimensional coordinate space, e.g. points, lines and polygons. Fundamentally, an entity may be a shape, text or a group of other entities.
