The Linear Transformation

This refers to any transformations applied to the map after it has been projected i.e. scaling, rotation, false easting and false northing.

In MapLink Pro Studio false easting and northing parameters should be applied as part of the projection parameters.

A linear transformation can have up to three parts:

• A pre-translation (applied before the rotation and scaling is applied)
• Rotation and scaling
• A post-translation (applied to the results of the rotation and/or scaling operation).
