MapLink Pro Studio 11.1

Shapefile and MIF formats support many different Code Pages. To help support this we have introduced Code Page mapping files as follows:
A significant number of shapefile data is supplied without the .cpg files being present. You can either set the code page override in MapLink Pro Studio or create a .cpg file for the data. The file should just contain UTF-8 string. There is not much that we can do as the documentation for code page decoding implies that the current locale of the operating system should be used or Western European ANSI. We have therefore defaulted to CP-1252 (Windows Western ANSI code page) when we are unable to determine the code page.
Writing Shapefile now defaults to UTF-8.
