Raster Configuration

Raster images, in general, have no spatial information stored with them (exceptions are detailed below), and therefore MapLink does not know where they are to be located in the Map.

When a raster file is added to a Raster Dataset, if no geo-referencing information is available, the user will be asked to locate the raster in the Input Coordinate System. The bottom left and top right coordinates must be supplied in the input coordinate system.

MapLink automatically references the following types of raster:

• Those with an associated ESRI World file
• Those with an associated MapInfo .TAB file
